TODAY IS SADDAM HUSSEIN'S BIRTHDAY!
Happy Birthday Saddam! Ha! Ha! Boy! I think that today is just the BEST Saddam Hussein Birthday EVER! Don't you? He probably doesn't feel that way of course - if he's alive to feel anything at all! If today also happens to be YOUR birthday, as it is for
Actor Jessica Alba (IDLE HANDS, PARANOID, DARK ANGEL [TV]) who is 22 and
Actor Kari Wuhrer (THINNER, ANACONDA, FATAL CONFLICT, EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS, HELLRAISER: Deader) who is 36, then why not have an extra piece of birthday cake for old Saddam (66)? Because HE sure as SHIT ain't gettin' any! Ha! Ha! Ha!

I'm such a nimrod!

IS THIS SOME KIND OF CRAZY DREAM?
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - (INTERNET WIRE) On Saturday, May 3, Metreon’s Things From Another World store will join thousands of shops around the world in celebrating the art of the comic book! On “Free Comic Book Day,” participating comic book stores will give away as many books as possible, absolutely free to anyone who comes into their stores.

Free Comic Book Day serves to introduce as many people as possible to the art form, history and culture of comic books. Worldwide, millions of comic books ranging in subject matter from high-flying superhero adventure to crime noir to kid-friendly humor will be distributed to the public for free, and Things From Another World proudly joins several other Bay Area locations in celebrating the day.

Comic books are an original American art form, created in the early days of the twentieth century. They feature a wide range of diverse storylines that capture the imagination of the readers, and have survived the dominance of radio and television, the spread of color and sound motion pictures, the rise of videogames, and the Internet.

Things From Another World is a division of Dark Horse, which publishes the galaxy’s greatest comics. There are seven Things From Another World locations on the West Coast including Portland, Milwaukee and Beaverton, Oregon; Universal City and San Francisco, California. For more information, please call (415) 369-6130 or visit tfaw.com.

Updates, information about Free Comic Book Day, and information about participating publishers are available at freecomicbookday.com.

ANTI-AMERICANISM THRIVING IN THE GEORGIA LEGAL SYSTEM?
More than three years ago, Horror writer and entrepenuer Edward Kramer was accused of a heinous crime that, so far, no one has been able to prove he even committed. Zero victims, zero evidence. Never the less, while no proof was forthcoming, Kramer was still beaten nearly to death, in front of witnesses, by law enforcement officers, and no charges have yet to be filed against his attackers. The physical assaults continue to this day. This didn't take place under the Butcher of Baghdad, but under the watchful eye of the Gwinnett County Detention Center in Georgia, U.S.A.

MARTIN LUTHER KING DIED TODAY
A man of non-violence, killed by a coward's bullet on April 4, 1968. On this day, 35 years ago and hundreds of miles away from the actual shooting, Reverend Jesse Jackson threw fake blood on his shirt and told reporters that he held the dying Mr. King in his arms: Which was a bare-faced lie. 35 years ago today, Martin Luther King died. Did his dream die with him? Is there someone, anyone, alive today who gives a bleeding rat's ass about "Keeping his dream alive"? If so, please write and let me know.

FeoNote: This article was up on the front page for 20 days and no one wrote in about it. So I guess that answers THAT question. In the meantime, I'll continue to do my part for the dream, regardless of popularity.

LEE CUSHING MAKES IT INTO THE WRITER'S BLOCK
