Creepy ice cream commercial. There are a few. Something about modern ice cream companies and how they try to outcreep each other. There is a bottom line to advertising and that is not getting your attention, unless that attention will translate to sales. You can run Ralph's auto insurance company and post videos of a gorgeous woman walking down a sidewalk wearing the skimpiest bikini, then cut to actual footage of a horrifically gory auto-accident, blood and limbs flying, then back to the woman turning to the camera and dramatically putting her hand over her mouth in a "Whoops! Did I cause that?" surprise. Then have Ralph wind up with the pitch. Got that visual? The novelty of it will attract attention, but will people buy your car insurance? Would you? On AUG! 1, 2012 this Little Baby's Ice Cream commercial hit YouTube and soon had millions of views world-wide. All for a single local ice cream shop at 2311 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It's all visual novelty without story. It's simply weird for weird sake and in that realm, it unquestionably works. Little Baby's hasn't commissioned another batch of ice cream video commercials since. They also keep the commercial running on the 'Net. Since these two comercials ran, the company opened three more ice cream shops in the ensuing six years, long after the ad's novelty wore off. That said, as of 2018 the YouTube video now stands at over 13,600,000 views.
