To create RARE EXPORTS, the feature film, brothers Jalmari and Juuso Helander first had to create A short movie to raise funds.

That was 18 years ago as of 2021.

It took seven more years for RARE IMPORTS to come to the screen as a full length movie in 2010. It didn't get a home video release in the U.S. until October 25, 2011, but it worked and wowed audiences, allowing the brothers to make the 2014 Samuel L. Jackson feature, BIG GAME.

And they're not finished!

Well, no. They are Finnish. I meant they're not...

Anyway...

The brothers didn't just sit around waiting to be noticed. To give a kick to their short movie, they released a sequel in 2005, called,

RARE EXPORTS - THE OFFICIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Actors Jonathan Hutching, Jorma Tommila, and Tommi Korpel, were back for this second outing, as well as Jorma Tommila's son and the Helander Brothers' nephew, Onni Tommila.
