THE FIRST ANNUAL SCREENWRITER'S EXPO ROCKED!
And it practically went over without a hitch! Oh sure, Harlan Ellison and company got into a car accident, but no one was injured beyond bruises. And sure, The Expo hosts, Creative Screenwriting magazine, didn't have an easy way to contact them via phone, but there are always typos in the first draft.

Not every writer who dreams of making it big, writing books, cares to write for movies, but for those who do, I'd say (coming to you as a complete stranger to screenwriting) that the Creative Screenwriting magazine's Screenwriter's Expo is one of the best places to start.

MARVEL IS IN A GRAY AREA

Ace AMAZING SPIDER-MAN artist John Romita Jr. (in collaboration with co-writer Glen Brunswick) is working on a creator-owned series for Marvel called THE GRAY AREA. It's premised on the idea that, when we die, 10% of us go to Heaven and 10% to Hell, but 80% are neither good enough nor evil enough to enter either afterworld. Those 80% end up in the Gray Area, a limbo-like reflection of the real world, where our actions can push us in the direction of one ultimate fate or the other.

Before the X-Files of the 90s there was Kolchak: The Night Stalker of the 70s. The "Me Generation" was getting the beejabbers scared out of them every Thursday at 8pm on ABC.
