The 82-year-old former producer of THE WILD, WILD, WEST TV series also

QUEER FEAR DON'T SKEER QUEERS
Editor Michael Rowe's first QUEER FEAR anthology garnered critical raves
for its frightening yet respectful use of the subject matter, which was
devoted to protagonists and antagonists, victims and monsters, who were
Homosexual, Bisexual, and Transgendered. Now QUEER FEAR II is out and

HORROR / THRILLER FLEDGLINGS GET THE BAT BOY
Chris Nolan, director of the mysterious and creepy MEMENTO, has got the
inked paper from Warner Bros. naming him as the next director in the dead
Batman movie franchise. Warner Bros. has taken lots of risks with their
Dark Knight ever since hiring Tim Burton to direct the first one and having
Michael Keaton (whose career was in a dumpster at

CATCH!:
SOME FREE GOODIES!
Yeah, I thought that would attract your penny-pinching attention! But
it's true: It's that time of year when publishers, in an effort to win
awards for their books and writers, are offering entire novels for free.
The catch? You have to be a member of an organization that actually
votes on these awards.
Here is
a list of publishers and writers who are giving out their complete stories
and/or novels for free on the net - to members of specific organizations.
You may have to pay to become a member of these organizations, but then
you get free goodies!

in A

all released in 1999 (THE

The last few "Collector's Editions" of Sam Raimi's ARMY

PROPS
FOR GARRETT
THE
RESTLESS DEAD
by HUGH B. CAVE |
"Give
me my propers / when I get home."
Otis Redding sung it in 1965 and it became Aretha Franklin's anthem
in 1967. As in a little proper respect. Back in 2001, Garrett
Peck wrote a review of Horror writer Hugh B. Cave's THE EVIL RETURNS.
Hugh's latest novel, THE RESTLESS DEAD (Leisure
Horror), just hit the bookstores (though
Borders customers will have to wait another week in most areas
- I don't know why).
On
the very first page there is a blurb from this site regarding
ol' Hugh. However, unlike blurb IDs from places like HellNotes
and Masters Of Terror, the blurb ID for feoamante.com is listed
as "Feo Amante" and many people have come to associate
the name of the site with me (it's my nickname).
So for the sake of clarity, I, Feo Amante, didn't write it. Is
this a big deal? Not at all. This is just a way another way to
promote my reviewers and, in this case, give Garrett Peck his
Proper Respect!
