Coming in on the birth of the Internet and the cusp of high speed Internet, THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT became one of the first Internet sensations.

Independent filmmakers marketed themselves and in doing so, beat out heavy studio contenders from Producer Stephen Spielberg's THE HAUNTING (with then A-List actors like Liam Neeson and Catherine Zeta-Jones. A young Owen Wilson also starred and was only beginning to make his mark.) to Producer George Lucas' first installment of his prequel trilogy, STAR WARS: The Phantom Menace (starring then A-List actors like Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, and Natalie Portman).

Netflix and the creators of "Stranger Things," Matt and Ross Duffer, are being sued by a company that says the idea for the hit show was stolen from a screenplay called "Totem."

According to the lawsuit, filed on Wednesday in California federal court, Irish Rover Entertainment says that "Stranger Things" copies a lot from "Totem," a screenplay written by Jeffrey Kennedy, including "plot, sequence, characters, theme, dialogue, mood, and setting, as well as copyrighted concept art."

We see that now with COVID-19 and we may see it with what happened in the U.S. congress on Wednesday.

In a bipartisan move (something rare in the early 21st Century), the House unanimously passed (something extremely rare in the early 21st Century) Sanctions against China.
